Directions to Make Halloween Clothespin Crafts
Frankenstein
1. Paint the clothespins and set them aside to dry. You’ll need two regular clothespins painted black and two painted purple or black.
Cut and trace around the printable template elements.
You should have a green head, purple body, and black hair, eyebrows and mouth.
2. Glue the hair, eyebrow and mouth to the green head. Glue two googly eyes on top.
Then glue the head to the body.
3. Add your clothespin legs and arms.
Glue the boots to the bottom of the leg clothespins. Make sure they do not go beyond the clothespin or it won’t stand up (leave some space at the bottom of the clothespin).
VampireÂ
1. Paint the clothespins and set them aside to dry. Paint two regular clothespins black and two small clothespins black.
Cut and trace around the printable template elements. You should have a beige-colored face, black body, black hair, black boots, red cape, white shirt and red glitter paper bow.
2. For the head:Â
Make the head first by painting the face or you can use beige-colored paper.
Glue the hair on top. Draw a mouth with a black sharpie and then add two white teeth. Glue the googly eyes on.
For the body:Â
Add the white triangle for the shirt. Glue the head on top and then glue the red glitter paper bow on top of the head and shirt.
Glue the red cardstock cape to the back.
3. Add your clothespin legs and arms.
Glue the boots to the bottom of the leg clothespins. Make sure they do not go beyond the clothespin or it won’t stand up (leave some space at the bottom of the clothespin).
Witch
1. Paint the clothespins and set them aside to dry. Paint two regular clothespins black and two small black or purple.
Cut and trace around the printable template elements. You’ll need a black body, hat and boots, green face, and light beige strip for the broom.
2. Make the witch face:Â
Cut small strips of the orange cardstock for the hair and glue to the sides of the face.
Glue the black hat on top. Add a strip of gold glitter paper.
Glue the googly eyes on.
Add a nose and smile with a black sharpie or marker.
3. Make the broom:Â
Cut out a long strip of light beige paper. Cut small slits all along this piece of paper.
Twist the paper around the end of a pipe cleaner and glue down to make the broom.
4. Add black marks on the leg clothespins.
5. Now put the body together!
Glue the head to the body.
Add the leg and arm clothespins. Glue the broom to one of the arms.
Then glue the boots on top of the leg clothespins. Make sure to leave some space at the bottom of the clothespin or the witch won’t stand up.
