Gumball Machine Turkey Disguise

Want to disguise a turkey as a gumball machine? Grab some pom poms and make this simple Gumball Machine Turkey Disguise. It’s easy to make with our free printable template too! If you don’t have pom poms you can also make this with paper.

Gumball Machine Disguise a Turkey Project

Kids will love filling up the globe with pom poms in this gumball machine project idea! If you don’t have pom poms you can also cut out paper squares in different colors.

Disguise a Turkey Gumball Machine

Supplies Needed

  • Printable gumball machine template – found at the bottom of the post
  • Markers – (or colored pencils, paint, crayons, etc) to color in the turkey template
  • Colored paper – red and black for the gumball machine
  • Silver glitter paper – you can also use silver or grey paper or cardstock if you do not have silver glitter paper
  • Pom poms
  • Tacky glue (or hot glue with adult assistance) – for gluing down the pom poms
  • Black paint pen or permanent marker
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Turkey in Disguise Gumball Machine

How to Make a Turkey in Disguise Gumball Machine

1. Color in the turkey.

First, print off a blank disguise a turkey template.

Use markers, colored pencils, crayons, or paint to color in the turkey’s face, beak and wattle if you plan on showing the eyes and a bit of the face. You can also completely cover the whole face.

2. Cut out the paper pieces.

Print off the free printable gumball machine template, found at the bottom of the post.

Cut out the top and bottom of the gumball machine on red paper.

Cut out the circle shape on black paper.

Cut out the square shape on gray or silver glitter paper.

Leave the round globe part for tracing only. You can also glue the pom poms directly to this piece.

3. Glue the gumball machine bottom to the turkey.

4. Trace the globe.

Use the circle shape to trace around it with a pencil. This will be your guide on where to glue the pom poms to make a rounded shape for the globe.

5. Glue on the pom poms.

Start to glue on the pom poms until the whole area is filled, except for the turkey eyes and part of the face peeking out.

6. Glue on the silver glitter paper.

Glue on the silver glitter paper to the center of the red bottom of the gumball machine.

7. Add the top of the gumball machine.

Glue on the top of the gumball machine and tuck the paper slightly under some of the gumballs.

Glue also the black circle to the bottom of the silver glitter paper.

8. Write 25 cents on the silver paper.

Use a paint pen or permanent marker and write 25 cents on top of the black circle paper piece.

Your turkey is now successfully disguised as a gumball machine!
