Dr Seuss Cat In The Hat Dessert Idea
This Cat in the Hat dessert idea is easy and fun for kids to help make! Your kids will not only love making this dessert but they’ll also enjoy eating them too! This is such a fun activity to do after or before you read the book.
And if your kids love gummies, then try making your home homemade gummy bears!
If you are having a Dr Seuss themed party or Cat in the Hat themed party, then these Cat in the Hat treats are fun to make for dessert!
Kids can even do these all on their own (just make sure the candy melt isn’t too hot and use a spoon if needed).
Ingredients Needed
- Vanilla Wafer Cookies
- White Chocolate Candy Melts
- Red Gummy Lifesavers
How to Make Cat in the Hat Treats
1. Melt your candy melts.
Follow the package instructions. Microwave 30 seconds at a time and stir allowing the heat to melt so you don’t overcook the candy melts.
2. Dip the vanilla wafers.
Dip each cookie into the candy melt mixture. Place on parchment paper.
3. Add gummies on top.
Place a red lifesaver on top of each cookie. Refrigerate for 5 minutes.
4. Add a candy melt on top.
Using the extra melted chocolate, put some melted chocolate on the lifesaver and place a candy melt on top. Refrigerate for 5 minutes.
5. Repeat the steps.
Repeat until you have 2 candy melts and 3 lifesavers on top of the cookie.
Now you have your finished Cat in the Hat treats!
