This is also a great fine motor activity for kids! Kids can thread the pony beads onto the pipe cleaners. They can also find all of the letters for the names. You can also do fun words instead of names like POP or SPARKLE!
And if you love bubbles, try our bouncing bubble recipe or see how to make a Giant Bubble Wand.
You can make heart shapes or circles. You can even do stars or squares! Any shape is possible but the circle and hearts we find are the easiest to make.

How to Make DIY Bubble Wands
1. Form the top of the pipe cleaner into a shape.
Take the top of the pipe cleaner and form it into the shape of a heart or circle. You can do any shape but a heart or circle is the easiest.
Leave a little bit of the pipe cleaner at the end to wrap around the end of the shape on the handle.
2. Add pony beads to the bubble wand handle.
We used 3 pony beads before adding the letter beads but you can do however many you’d like! Kids can also mix and match colors or you can use pony beads in different shapes (they come in hearts, circles and squares too).
3. Add letter beads.
Add the letter beads to spell a name or word.
4. Secure the beads.
To secure the beads at the end of the wand, leave a little extra pipe cleaner and fold it over into the last bead on the wand.
5. Add to a Valentine card.
If you’re using these to give as Valentines, print off our free printable bubble Valentines and add to the Valentine card.
These bubble wands are a fun summer or Valentine craft for kids of all ages! And the best part is you can use them when you’re done making them!
