These love bug printable crafts are a fun and easy craft to make for Valentine’s Day! Use the templates and color them directly or trace them onto construction paper and cut out the paper to build them.

There are 4 adorable love bugs to choose from – a bee, snail, butterfly and ladybug.

Supplies Needed

• Coloring Supplies – we used paint but you can also color with markers, colored pencils or crayons
• Glue – glue stick for the paper templates and hot glue, tacky glue, or adhesive dots for the googly eyes
• Scissors
• Googly eyes – optional if you want to add googly eyes. There are printable eyes included with each template.
• White cardstock
• Pink paint – to add cheek marks
• Printable templates – get the printable love bug templates sent to you at the bottom of the post

How to Make the Love Bug Crafts

1. Print off the templates.

Get the templates sent to you at the bottom of the post. We recommend printing on white cardstock if you plan to color directly on the template. If you are using them to trace onto construction paper you can also print on regular paper.

2. Cut out the templates.

Some templates have a few mouth options to choose from and each template also has eyes.

3. Color the templates.

Color the templates using the coloring supply of your choice – paint, markers, crayons or colored pencils.

You can also use the templates to trace the shapes onto construction paper.

4. Assemble the templates.

Use a glue stick to glue on the legs, head, hearts, mouth and antennae.

5. Glue on the googly eyes.

Use tacky glue or hot glue (adult assistance) to glue on the googly eyes. This is optional as there is also printable eyes you can glue on.

6. Add the cheeks.

Dip the back of a pencil or paintbrush into pink paint and dab onto the sides of the mouth to make the cheeks.

These love bug crafts are fun for kids of all ages! For younger kids, adults can help cut out the templates and kids can color and glue.
