I made the shamrock gummies with applesauce, but They are so sticky and cant seem to cut them out. Any ideas
To prevent sticking, dip the cookie cutter in sugar after cutting the first shamrock out.
Can you use less sugar? 2 cups seems like a lot.
Yes that should be fine, it will just be less sweet.
I feel like this is a silly question, but do they need to be stored in the fridge? How long do they “keep”?…though, I’m sure they don’t last long anyway!
You can keep them in an air tight container outside of the fridge but if you want them to last longer keep them in the fridge and they will last about 2 weeks. 🙂
Hi,
I absolutely love gummy sweets and will definitely be trying this sometime soon. I make my own fruit sauces so I think mango and orange variants would be super yummy too.
Many thanks for the easy to follow guide as well as the great photography showing the steps.
Thanks Matt! Glad you will be giving them a try! 🙂
