Groundhog Day falls on February 2nd and celebrates the day groundhogs around the world are observed to see if they see their shadow. If they see their shadow, the prediction is that there will will be 6 more weeks of winter. And if they do not see their shadow, that means the prediction is that spring is on its way!
These free Groundhog color by number printables are also a great way for kids to learn their colors.
Kids can also make these groundhog handprint cards and add their predictions inside the cards!
If your child cannot read, add the color (by making a colored mark) beside the color name for them to know which number matches the color. It will also help them learn to read this way!

Laminate the sheets and have kids use washable paint on them. Then, they can repaint them over and over.
